The village of Salorno

Salorno serves as the gateway to the wonderful South Tyrolean orchards and vineyards.

It is located in the Bassa Atesina, is the southernmost city in South Tyrol and the access to the Trudner Horn Nature Park. Characteristic are the Haderburg and the Salurner Klause (Chiusa di Salorno), which forms on the narrowing of the Adige Valley near the city. Its traditions are innumerable, such as the festival on the 5th of December (Krampus) and the Perkeo Carnival.

 The cycle paths to Verona, Brennero, Val Venosta and Val Pusteria start from Salorno.

The cycle path starting from Ora is picturesque and follows the route of the old railway into the Val di Fiemme, which leads to the Trudnerhorn Nature Park.

For the fearless, the downhill slopes and the bike park are only 25km away

Well known in the area are the “via ferratas” and climbing walls for those who have a passion for reaching the top of the mountain on the steepest path.

The „Wine road“

The wine road lies between the endless vineyards of the most renowned wineries such as Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Traminer. For lovers of the more full-bodied red wine there is Lagrein and Cabernet, and for those who want to go further Grappa, a local historical heritage of great importance and of renowned quality.

These places are scattered as far as the eye can see, between crystal-clear swimming lakes, historic castles and high mountains that frame the landscape.

Winter sports

The Dolomites are known for their kilometers of winter slopes. The main ski areas are easily accessible, both for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. The Paganella ski area, only 25 km away, is the leading winter sports resort in Trentino with its large ski area leaning against the backdrop of the Brenta Dolomite.

Christmas

From the end of November, when the first cold hits, the tourist offer of the Christmas markets opens up. There are dozens scattered around our structure. The best known such as the Christmas markets of Merano and Bolzano and more less touristy but nonetheless less charming. Come and discover them during the magical fairy-tale time of Christmas!
